GOING Carbon Neutral Stirling made its debut as a stallholder on Saturday at the Stirling Farmers Market.
Despite the chilly weather, the market was very busy and the GCNS team of Emily Harvey, Gavin Smith and Alan Rennie signed up over 100 people with credit card-sized pledge cards.
Each card commits the holder to carry out actions which will help reduce their own, and Stirling’s, carbon footprint.
“Signing the pledge” also gave free entry into a raffle for a fabulous hamper of goods from stallholders at the popular Port Street market.
First lucky ticket out of the box belonged to Julia Cassells, of Lindsay Brae, Dunblane.
She was thrilled last Saturday evening when she answered her door and Alan Rennie of GCNS broke the news that she had won the hamper.
