GCNS signs up Stirling energy graduates

Businesses in Stirling can boost their profit margins thanks to the launch of a pilot project by GCNS.

With support from the Scottish Government, Stirling University and the The Carbon Trust, Keep Scotland Beautiful will take on four temporary staff from the university’s MSc degree course in Energy and Finance. Their task will be to roll out Energy Audits among local businesses.

“Proactive intervention is the way to go,” commented GCNS programme manager Rachel Nunn (pictured). “Companies are so busy keeping up to speed with everyday activity that energy saving, and changes to business models, can fall off people’s desks – even when it would save them money.

“This project gives businesses an extra pair of hands, helping to move positive change on more quickly,” she added.

Alternative ways of supporting businesses will be informed by this pilot which, it is hoped, will also increase business/university interaction. If you are interested in having your business supported by this project, please call Sarah Wiseman of Going Carbon Neutral Stirling on 01786 4776175.
