FIT NEWSFLASH

Sadly the news we all feared has become reality - the Feed in Tariff will be cut from 43.3p per kilowatt hour of solar electricity to just 21p. This will come into effect from early December and will effectively double payback periods.

Therefore GCNS would strongly recommend that if you, or people you know, are intending to purchase solar panels you do so quickly. As a government funded independent advice service, GCNS can offer you free, impartial advice tailored to your needs and can help you meet the deadline with an approved installer at a very good price.

Energy

Homes with BIG energy bills are our latest target.

Work in local communities has shown that over a quarter of the average person's carbon footprint relates to domestic heating and electricity.

Carbon savings and big cuts in energy bills can be achieved ... but the whole topic of renewables and energy-saving measures can be a minefield.

How we can help you...

  • Renewables: Find out more about how GCNS has set up a bulk buy scheme where you could benefit from solar panels at an affordable price
  • Energy saving in stone walled properties: Read more about what GCNS is doing to help residents of stone walled properties save money and carbon.
  • Sat 12th November - Green Doors – open homes energy event: a chance to see how other Stirling residents have reduced their energy use.
