This growing season Low Carbon Stirling, a partnership between GCNS and Stirling Council, would like you to join us in a unique project to create your own Edible Borders. Whether you have a window ledge or garden why not replace traditional bedding plants with vegetables and herbs and you could create beautiful spaces which also provide healthy, locally grown and seasonal produce for you to enjoy.
To inspire and help you create your own Edible Border, Stirling Council’s Land Services team have transformed seven city garden sites planting a collection of vegetables, herbs and annual bedding. This project is providing a unique learning opportunity for 3 Modern Day Apprentices and the apprentices will follow the journey of the Edible Borders from seed to harvest later on in the year.
Towards the end of the season we are hopeful there will be opportunities to share the harvested crops with local groups or individuals - providing the rabbits don't get there first!
Low Carbon Stirling encourages individuals, families, organisations and communities to support a low carbon and more sustainable future for Stirling.

Have you spotted the Edible Borders van about town yet?
