Carbon Workshops

Six-week Carbon Conversations courses were run by GCNS.

Carbon Conversations is an inspiring yet practical course on low carbon living and was described in the Guardian newspaper as one of the 20 best solutions to climate change.

Created by Cambridge Carbon Footprint, it explores our personal responses to climate change and addresses ideas and solutions for a low carbon future based around the key areas of the carbon footprint: home energy, food and other areas of consumption, and travel.

GCNS was also looking for volunteers interested in being trained as fully accredited Carbon Conversation facilitators. GCNS funded this training and hoped that trainees would deliver a number of courses in their own community.

Twelve people took part in GCNS’s Carbon Conversations training and eight went on to become fully trained as Carbon Conversations facilitators.
