GCNS is currently working with more than 35 businesses in Stirling ranging from large retail brands to owner occupied B&Bs.

Business

Businesses contribute a huge amount to the Stirling area by creating jobs and providing goods and services. However, businesses are also collectively responsible for over 60% of Stirling's direct greenhouse gas emissions. Many of these can be avoided and we want to show you how.

You can achieve a smaller carbon footprint for your business in a variety of ways: from reducing energy for light, appliances and heating to persuading staff to use alternatives to the car. Almost all emissions reductions also lower costs. For example, a 20% cut in energy costs represents roughly the same bottom line benefit as a 5% increase in sales (source: Carbon Trust).

We believe businesses are a vital part of making low carbon living possible in the Stirling area which is why we have created the Low Carbon Alliance which your business can join today, for free.
